The fruits of the mango tree is juicy and with excellent flavor. The plant first grew in the tropics of Asia. It finds favorable environment for growing in the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. The climate of Ecuador is suitable for cultivation of mango and the country produces nearly 30 000 tons a year.
The mango fruit contains rich variety of vitamins and substances with vitamin C and vitamin B6 content being the biggest. The mango is also called super fruit by researchers and nutritionists, because of its great variety of healthy substances.
The maximum yield of mango in Ecuador is in December – a month in which the situated on the tropics producing countries don’t have a big supply.
